Real Fish / Live Fish
Two television sets are displayed side by side; one set contains a fish tank with a real swimming fish, and the other set shows a video of the swimming fish. A CCTV camera is shooting the real fish inside the TV set and displays it in real-time on the set next to the filmed set. The fish tank, where the filmed fish swims around, replaces the cathode-ray tube, and the real fish is presented live on the other monitor. The two TV sets operate as both transmitter and receiver, and viewers can compare the differences in light and color, as well as experience the poetic impression of its instantaneity.
