Flowers and trains appear in this work, to which Nam June Paik added “AMTRACK” implying Amtrak, the US national railway service, along with the names of regions that the train connects; New York, Chicago and Santa Fe. Paik also specifies that the train is delivering 100 flowers. A fence-like form, running parallel with the puffing train and flowers, look like design patterns. The vehicles, one of the frequently used motifs in Paik’s drawings, recall the fact that the artist often drew an analogy between communication and transportation.
